Steve has held a lifelong interest in aviation and acquired his first Bell Helicopter in 1999 and has owned and operated a fleet of 10 Bell 206 aircraft. Steve has extensive knowledge of aircraft operation from an owner/operator perspective.
Director
Gary has had a passion for aviation since the school days and has held a pilots license for over 30 years. He has several thousand hours on both single and twin helicopters and he has a UK CAA display authorisation.
Gary has been involved in all aspects of the helicopter industry from engineering, operations, sales and flying and has extensive knowledge of the UK market place so as to be able to provide the very best advice to owners and operators. Gary was on the customer advisory panel for the Bell 505.
New and used aircraft sales
Becca is an accomplished pilot and holds a PPL(A) single and multi engine, and PPL(H) piston and turbine.
Becca has been involved in all aspects in aviation since 2019 and specialises in fixed wing and rotary sales.
Sheet metal specialist/FAA A&P Engineer
Pete started in the aviation industry in 1995 at BA doing work experience on structural repairs on the 737-200 series. He then went on to Bristows in 1997 learning how to use Jigs and rebuild airframes.
Pete is an FAA A&P Engineer, loves flying helicopters and is working towards his fixed wing licence. He has worked on the Bell 206, Bell 407, Bell 212, Bell 412, Bell 222, Bell 214ST, S76, S61, Agusta 109B - C - K2 and the AS365.
Chief Engineer
Licensed helicopter engineer who has specialised in most of his working life. Has held a senior management position both overseas and in the UK. Colin is an EASA Licensed Aircraft Maintenance Engineer on various helicopters, combustion engines, and turbine engines. Ex Chief Engineer and Continue Airworthiness for Part 145 and Part M organisation.
Engineer
Ben completed his apprenticeship in helicopter maintenance, he is now an active helicopter engineer progressing his licence and has completed 206 type course, he is soon going on a Bell 206/505 overhaul course and is currently working in both hangar and overhaul shop.
Stores and Tech Records
Michelle has over 10 years' experience within aircraft record keeping and maintenance control. She currently runs the Helix stores and is a valuable member of the Continue Airworthiness Organisation side of the business.
Aircraft ground handler
Kathan started with Helix in January 2023 as an aircraft ground handler, he is currently doing his NVQ3 in Engineering whilst volunteering at the RAF Manston History Museum and being a sergeant in the Air Cadets.
